The Smart Innovation program is a cooperation of the Capital Region of Denmark, Keystones and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), amongst several others. Together they add a mix of financial support, knowledge and relevant contacts.

How much do they invest?

They do not give direct investments. But if you participate in the acceleration program you will get:

A possibility to work together with DTU. 400 hours of targeted advice from researchers at DTU. Help to identify a commercial purpose and use of your idea and company.

You can also use DTU’s facilities to produce prototypes or improve existing products.

How do they work?

You have to apply through their website. If you are considered interesting, you will hear from them.

Should you be granted access to their program, they can offer you up to 400 hours targeted research made by DTU’s researchers and 45 hours of business counseling.

You and at least one colleague are expected to put around 800 hours into the program yourself. Every project runs for 9-12 months.

This makes a difference to them

Your company must be based in the Capital Region of Denmark, have a proof-of-business, and pay a salary to three people at the time of application.
