More about Social Startup

They invests in all types of early-stage businesses, as long as they create employment for socially vulnerable people.

Experience

Since 2011 Den Sociale Kapitalfond has assessed over 600 investment cases from which they have developed social companies.

How much do they invest?

Direct investments are not their primary offering, but through their program you’ll get:

Access to advice on how to develop your business through a weekly meeting.
All companies in the program will meet and share experience and ideas.
You will get the option to apply for a donation of DKK 100.000 as early capital.

How do they work?

First, you have to fill out a template. If you are considered interesting enough, you will be invited to a meeting in either Copenhagen or Aarhus. Here, you will have to pitch your idea in person.

After the meeting you might be invited to a bootcamp, where companies are picked to do a final pitch before a panel.

This makes a difference to them

Den Sociale Kapitalfond only invests in companies which can live up to the following:

You must must create employment for socially vulnerable people in Denmark.
You are or may become a business.
You have a potential for growth.
You seek to use your economic surplus to help socially vulnerable people.

You can see all criterias here.

A good pitch for them

The good pitch explains the socially responsible aspect of your company and argue why it is commercially viable. Last but not least, you must show them that your team consists of people able to drive your project forward. Apply here.
