Therefore, we realise that in order to have a faster growth and a faster process of learning, we are in need of another team member and most likely a co-founder.

Smackway is a Digital Wholesale Food & Beverage Marketplace. Here our main goal is to make the food business simple.

We have been operating over a year and a half now and made a few pivots after trying, getting feedback from customers and learning. During the period we have built many relations with wholesale food suppliers from around Europe as well as food buyers. We have quite a big network of contacts gathered from food fairs with having been in personal contact.

Who we are

We are a small team of enthusiastic people: a co-founder and CEO, who will do everything and talk to everyone needed, a CTO and co-founder, who will build anything and a food science engineer/entrepreneur, who seldom writes articles and helps out in the processes.

How we do things

At the moment we are running by applying the lean principles, first inspired by Eric Ries. In general we are trying to stay agile and lean all the time, having quick iterations, developing MVPs for features and prompting for feedback as soon as possible.

Who we are looking for

Our project is tackling complicated issues in the food industry and it difficult, however, if done correctly, it is very promising. Therefore, we realise that in order to have a faster growth and a faster process of learning, we are in need of another team member and most likely a co-founder.

This person should share our vision and enthusiasm and have a crisp of entrepreneurship and innovation in their blood.

We do not limit ourselves to which field of expertise the candidate should come from, however, it would be great to have a unique expansion in the skillset that we currently have combined.

What we offer

Currently, the startup is not funded, however, we have turned down a few investments over the time and invested ourselves. The reason being that we can build the tech without additional costs and manage to run lean. We are very devoted to Smackway and therefore invest our time and personal resources.
