Q&A with Tim Larcombe
Co-founder @ .TIBA
What are your plans for the future?
In the short term we want to find the right team, further validate the concept in customer test environments and find the right seed investor. Medium term we want to establish .TIBA as the category leader in "habit mastery". Long term - exit to the right buyer.
Why did you become an entrepreneur?
Necessity. I couldn't fully thrive in a corporate environment.
Aside from achieving commercial success, what do you see as your startup’s mission?
To give people the knowledge, skills and tools needed to become confident to change themselves for the better.
Describe your perfect day at work.
As few planned meetings as possible, so I can "follow the nose of my intuition". Reconnecting with inspiring people I have met. Connecting with new inspiring people. Facilitating creativity and alignment to bring people together.
What is your best advice for entrepreneurs who are just starting out?
If you are coming from the corporate world - you have a lot to unlearn. If you've never worked in the corporate world - invest in understanding the challenges of your corporate partners. In your start up team, work on building friendship, shared purpose and culture. Therein lies your long-term value.
