Q&A with Sune Remí Hjerrild
Founder and CEO @ TrueLinked
What are your plans for the future?
To make TrueLinked the leading company in the world for finding and developing talent in classical music.
Why did you become an entrepreneur?
As an international Opera artist myself for many years I saw an industry in need of change. So I see TrueLinked as a movement, not just a company.
Aside from achieving commercial success, what do you see as your startup’s mission?
To make the classical music industry build on innovation, transparency, artistry, and meritocracy rather than the closed black box it was before we came. A transparent marketplace providing fair opportunities for Artists.
Describe your perfect day at work.
When we have convinced yet another Opera house or orchestra that TrueLinked is the future of casting and talent discovery in the 21st century.
What is your best advice for entrepreneurs who are just starting out?
Have a mission you truly believe in and always seek advice from people who did this before. Mentors are extremely important when you start out. Then fail fast and learn fast. There is not one straight route to success it's a series of small victories and losses that makes you understand where to find the gold in your market.
If you have the right idea the most persistent and persevering founder team will win the game in the end. So stay focused and stay in the game. Don't give up even when it looks impossible to win.
