TrainAway is a start-up whose goal is to make it easy for travellers to work out and stay fit while on the road. We are looking for a Computer Science intern to join our team.

At TrainAway you will be part of a small team and that means responsibility! You will gain experience in a tech start-up; with improving and optimizing our app and website; and in the fitness industry. Your background & training

We imagine that you are in the late part of your Bachelor’s or beginning of your Master’s at DTU, ITU, or a similar school and/or are studying or already have a degree in Computer Science. We’re also happy to hear from candidates who don’t meet this profile but possess the below qualifications and would like to contribute to our mission.

Responsibilities

• Reimplementation of Angular 2 project in standard HTML/JS, which will also be used by a React Native (or similar framework) mobile version
• Maintenance of the reimplementation as well as other front-end web development tasks
• Existing system maintenance, updates, improvements, etc. 

• Payment system integrations 

• Development of new features

Qualifications

• Written and oral English proficiency
• You are great at coming up with new ideas and can work independently 
• Knowledge of payment systems (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.) is a plus but not a must
• Experience with video overlays and video editing is a plus but not a must
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and when entrusted with a variety of assignment

About TrainAway

TrainAway was founded in 2017 by three partners with backgrounds in management consulting and private equity at PwC and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. We are expecting a busy year ahead, which means many exciting projects and developments! Our working climate is creative and informal and we appreciate everyone being able to speak up and pitch in. We are flexible in terms of hours and location – working from home is an option, although we hope you will also want to join the team at our office near Nørreport. We understand that you may also be busy with school and can be flexible around exam periods.
