M-PAYG is a Danish impact-driven venture backed startup that has developed an award-winning prepaid solar energy system. Their strategy is to radically improve access to renewable energy for people living below the poverty line in developing countries. The company is “live” in Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi and recently opened up a new office in Kenya. M-PAYG aims at scaling operations considerably in 2018. We are currently looking for a Fundraiser to assist the commercial team.

We are looking for a strong communicator who can help us in creating and structuring the fundraising strategy and lead the development of strategic grant applications to support M-PAYG’s scaling and operations. The candidate will simultaneously be in charge of writing grant applications. The project consists of a small but dedicated team, and you will work directly with M-PAYG’s Market Analyst and commercial team. We are a flat organization, and your opinion will have a high influence on the direction of the company. The position is an unpaid internship. The length of the internship is at least 2 months. 

Your achievements in the previous steps of your career:

● Excellent academic achievements from a leading university or business school, preferably within international development

● Challenging internships or initial professional experience with fundraising and international development

● A beginner's mindset (i.e. a strong passion for learning)

● Fluency in English and a natural flair for writing Your personal traits that describe your strengths and goals

● Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with notable professional presence

● Team player with an enthusiastic, positive, 'can do' attitude

● Entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mindset

● Passionate about delivering impact for the project and its partners

● Previous experience with MS Excel

The candidate will be working on the project from Titangade 11 on Nørrebro in the new SingularityU Nordic - a Hub for some of the leading tech companies in Denmark.
