About us  

At tiimo we work towards the vision of helping children who, for various reasons, have extra needs for structure in their everyday lives. By applying strategies that work - such as structure, time control, focus and pictograms - to new technology, we give children and their families a tool to overcome some of everyday life’s struggles. We give children with various diagnoses such as ADHD and Autism a helping hand, in a discreet way, that supports them through their day and empowers them with a greater sense of self confidence.

tiimo is an app for smartwatches that works as an interactive guide on the arm. Through icons, text, vibrations and a timer, tiimo guides and supports the child throughout the daily activities. During the past year and a half we have developed and tested the product with more than 50 families and half a dozen schools - with amazingly positive responses. We are currently preparing for the launch of our iOS app and a full market launch.

What we are looking for

As the CTO of tiimo, it is paramount that you are interested in technology and keep up with the latest web and wearable trends. You will be responsible for the development of our web platform as well as leading our mobile and wearable development team. It is a requirement that you can take active part in the development, full time, as we are a small team.

It is preferable if you have a background as a full stack developer or mobile app developer. Ideally you have knowledge about both worlds and are eager to continue learning.

Our technology stack consists of a .NET backend with an Angular frontend, together with our native Android app and a Xamarin iOS app. It is a requirement that you are familiar with at least one of the used technologies. Our solution is hosted in Microsoft Azure, and we strive to follow 12-factor methodology.

What do we expect from you

• You have years of experience in being responsible for delivery of software project/products

• You are organized and eager to work in a startup, where you at times must fulfill multiple technical roles

• You love to share technical ideas with the founders on how tiimo can become an even better platform

• You are well-versed in scrum

• You have a desire to deliver a user-friendly and stable product

• You are a pragmatic software craftsman, that understands that tiimo first and foremost is a product that must provide value to its users

• You are a self-starter and able to manage your own time

• It is a plus if you have experience from the startup world, but not a requirement as long as you are up for the challenge

• You are willing to continue working on the existing platform, as we don’t plan for a complete rewrite. Our focus is to continuously improve the platform as we add new features
