Block by Block is a startup working on making decisions smarter in city planning and real estate. We pool large sets of data to create a unique overview of flow of people - block by block. We call it block demographics and our goal is to provide a decision tool for investments based in real peoples movement. We are collaborating with telecompanies which supply real time location data, that we transform in software that answers the quesion of where people are and why.

The data we have from international telcos have so far been anchored in postgresql/postgis and geoserver. You’ll need to be able structure the optimal setup and make the data treatment even more precise. It’s an absolute advantage if you also know have to handle the clientside.

The end goal is software where user can look up a specific address and learn how people move in that particular area over the course of a day, a week or a month.
