As an Electro-Acoustical Engineer you will be part of the development team, and collaborate with colleagues and top notch external partners to develop innovative technical concepts that are true to the SOUNDBOKS brand and meet the needs of our growing community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Outlining and researching technical possibilities and turning these into product concepts
• Optimizing current product concepts by reconsidering audio system compromises
• Communicating with local and global business partners with the goal of introducing cutting edge technology into future products

The ideal candidate will have broad and extensive knowledge of electro acoustics and the skills to apply it in practice. You should be able to create full audio system concept specifications, from battery to amplifier to speaker, and understand tradeoffs associated with this process. It would be a benefit, but not a necessity, to have experience with conceptual development of technical ideas.

You will need:

• An M.Sc. in electrical or acoustical engineering.
• Experience with signal processing and electro acoustics from the audio industry.
• The capability to proactively executing tasks that will lead to new internal knowledge and improved products.

You’ll really thrive in this role if you have:

• An open-mind, great communication skills and a different way of thinking, as we believe our product’s goals are per definition not the same as similar products on the market.
• The desire to never stop learning.
• The ability to think and rethink concepts from a holistic point of view.
• A willingness to travel.

It is an advantage, but not necessary, if you have:

• An understanding of battery technology and functionality.
• Experience with embedded design, power electronics and digital electronics.
• An understanding of mechanics.
• An understanding of wireless speaker systems.
