WE ARE LOOKING FOR A “CLASSICAL” BACKEND DEVELOPER

In a youthful, dynamic and vibrant setting we help our users find the best personal loan through our online loan broker platform.

Because of stable growth, we are now seeking an experienced backend developer to join our team. In this job, you will work on Lendme’s backend and two days will never look the same.

By classic we are talking server-side web-applications and API integrations for example. This means we do not expect you to work on the “full stack” or tasks involving front-end and graphical tasks.

If you have experience and interest in working with other areas of development e.g. CMS, css or networking, we only see that as a plus.

Lendme’s backend consists of well-structured code, written in-house. We work with the latest technologies on Linux platforms. Our code base is currently 90% PHP written and 10% node.js (roughly).

In a small and fast moving company like Lendme, it is important that everybody feels responsible for following personally assigned tasks through to completion. Experience and proven competencies are more important to us than a diploma or a formal education.

YOU ARE A COMPETENT DEVELOPER THAT…

• is comfortable with a command-line and Linux based systems
• is excellent at object oriented coding
• finds joy in following tasks through to completion
• thrive in a young and dynamic team

TYPICAL TASKS YOU WILL WORK ON

We are constantly building new integrations to banks and partners. This means you will work on:

• various API technologies such as REST and SOAP
• sourcing, storing and exchange of data with public and closed registers
• automated test systems for our own API and web-site
• changing part of our code base from Symphony/PHP to node.js
• expansion of our MySQL database as we integrate new data sources

Lendme currently employs six people on full time and one student. We also work with a handful of freelancers for temporary tasks. You will work closest together with:
