At Byrd we daily hunt for unicorns 🦄 in Asana and like to Slack! Our NodeJS engine is powering our app aboard the Express train 🚄 and we love to bower Bootstrap so we can gulp the SASS to customize and extend it! Our JSON based database is currently on fire 🔥, but our master Heroku 🐼🌧 keeps it cool, so it’s all good. We like doing things the Angular way whenever possible and we are currently looking for a talented and passionate frontend developer who feels the same!

Byrd is a fully-funded web- and mobile platform (Web & iOS launched, Android on its way) where media can crowdsource photo and video assignments and trigger-happy photographers can make some money. We’ve been at it full-time for a few months and we’re proud to say we’ve landed the largest media companies in Denmark so far. We’ve exceeded growth expectations but to follow that hockey stick 🏒 and to take over the world 🌎 , we’ll need reinforcements.

We need help building and bringing our frontend web application to the next level. 🥇✨  We need a frontend developer who can creatively translate wireframes and designer mockups into beautiful, interactive and stable frontend code. You’d be working closely with Christian, CTO of Byrd, Mikkel, our journalist and a pretty decent house barista, Morten our Business Developer and king sandwich maker, Jakob iOS-developer and metalhead and Sofie, our amazing Creative Content and Design Intern.

Qualifications:

✅  You must be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment as a self-starter and quick learner

✅   You have great experience with JavaScript and SPA framework AngularJS (Firebase XP 👍  -  Angularfire XP 👍👍 )

✅   You have worked with designers and product managers in an agile environment

✅   Experience with server-side languages like NodeJS is a plus

✅   Solid communications skills in English

✅   Entrepreneurial mindset

The pay is good, yet junior-level. You’ll be working in a challenging and ever-changing environment, which is physically placed in a beautiful co-working space in inner Østerbro, Copenhagen.
