LEO Innovation Lab is an independent unit, established by LEO Pharma. We don’t develop medical treatments – instead, we look at all the aspects of everyday life that can affect a person who has a skin condition. The solutions are focused primarily on e-Health and add-on devices. LEO Innovation Lab has been established as a separate entity to create a smaller, more agile organization, where innovation can thrive and solutions be brought to market and tested faster.

Responsibilities

• Write modular, scalable, testable Javascript, HTML and CSS (React preferred)
• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from product management, designers, and backend engineers
• Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement
• Prototype product concepts
• Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
• A desire and an ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Contribute ideas for new features and identify areas for improvement
• Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
• Thorough understanding of Javascript and associated best practices
• Deep experience with cross browser quirks and compatibility issues
• Experience developing modular user interfaces, and familiarity with modern CSS frameworks, tools and workflow
• An eagle-eye for detail and passion for perfection
• Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading / caching)
• A passion for making beautiful, smooth, delightful web experiences on desktop
• Passion for delivering great user experiences
• Broad knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem
• Ability to innovate and partner with our design team to build multiple prototypes quickly

Bonus points

• GitHub profile or link to open source work
• Have developed full-featured web-apps using a Javascript framework such as React, Backbone or Ember
• Great written communication and documentation abilities
• Data-informed product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc.
