We need an experience senior developer that will help mature our application, split the monolyth into microservices and deploy it into the Azure cloud. Are you ready for your next adventure?

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our team and help build our innovative platform for international and local payments.

You will work with a small, agile development team based in central Copenhagen and collaborate on a day-to-day basis with our team in Bangalore, India and Portugal. You will help shape our payment platform and contribute to the engineering practices that enable us to deliver high-quality software in a consistent and predictable manner.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Backend development in C# and soon Kotlin.

• Be a code clean advocate and push the team in that direction.

• Search for and implement new tech or software best practices.

• CI/CD development.

• Writing automated unit, service and E2E tests

• Estimating and contributing to user stories

• Participating in retrospectives and continuous improvement

We build the core of our platform according to Domain Driven Design principles using a Hexagonal/Ports and Adaptors architecture, CQRS and Event Sourcing. At present our solution is monolithic in nature, but we plan to transition to microservices and use the Axon java framework for the payment domain.

Our current infrastructure is on-premise hosting and we are about to move into the Azure cloud infrastructure, therefore previous experience with this cloud is a big plus.

About You

We imagine that several of the following statements apply to you:

• You have worked with a software product development for at least 7+years, perhaps in one or more startups

• You have experience working with Microservices, continuous integration and deployment tools.

• You have worked with AWS/Azure and have a good knowledge of the tools they offer.

• You have a solid understanding of computer science and software engineering practices. e.g. software patterns, current architecture trends and latest DevOp tools.

• You are a strong advocate of clean code and push your colleagues into that direction.

• You are comfortable writing backend code in C# and have deep knowledge of the .net framework and .net core.

  • Alternatively, you are a black belt in java/kotlin development and have worked with the awesome Axon framework.

• You understand the importance of automated testing and have experience with relevant frameworks such as Selenium, Protractor, Mountebank, Jasmine, Moq and XUnit

• You are a people person, easy-going and enjoy working in a team of talented peers.

While we don't expect you to tick all of the above boxes, we do need to understand how you match the profile and why you would make a great addition to our development team.

Note that personal interviews for this job will involve writing code.
