Head of Marketplace

Blazar Capital is looking for a Head of Marketplace to build and lead a team to set up and grow various marketplace accounts across all portfolio ventures. The primary marketplace which have to be managed is Amazon, but other marketplaces such as T-Mall, Zalora, and others will also be launched in all ventures within the near future. This is a unique, exciting opportunity to influence minds and make an impact at Blazar Capital.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall Profit and Loss of all marketplace s (Primarily Amazon in US, UK, DE, and CA);
  • Setup and manage all paid marketing activities on a daily basis;
  • Establish processes to drive marketplace sales and profitability ;
  • Design commercial structure/modules to cater for different suppliers and categories ;
  • Manage International dropshipping from in case orders are not FBA due to stock;
  • Liaise and work with Blazar's Operations and Logistics team for issues related to warehouse storage, deliveries and interaction with third-party logistics;
  • Manage and execute integration process with new marketplaces in all relevant markets in all ventures; and
  • Manage a team of future marketplace associates.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate has several years of experience consumer goods retailing and intimate knowledge of online business-to-consumer (“B2C”) models. Bachelor in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field ;
  • Have used Amazon to sell products to consumers worldwide - both through organic sales and paid media on the platform;
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills is a must ;
  • Advanced execution skills coupled with analytical capabilities and detail orientation ;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) ;
  • Exposure in e-commerce industry is preferred ;
  • Ability to plan, work to a structured timetable and be focused on deliverables ; and
  • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
