INTERNSHIP: MARKET RESEARCHERS OF EU28 COUNTRIES

Do you want to work for a Danish SaaS startup and help increase efficiency and transparency of EU’s public procurement to SMEs all across EU?

Every year, government institutions all across EU announce approximately 210.000 public purchases (public tenders) for a value of €420 billion, covering every industry available, e.g. Construction, IT, Medico, Business Consulting, Furniture, Catering, Energy, etc…

This provides great business opportunities for qualified EU companies; however, many companies do not chase these opportunities due to lack of market knowledge or complicated procedures. Aspectu IVS addresses this issue with an innovative SaaS solution for SMEs in all EU28 countries.

Aspectu IVS is now looking for a number of strong market researchers to map EU28’s public purchasing landscape in selected industries and countries.

Key Responsibilities - Deliveries

1. Identify local private consultancies to companies / suppliers wanting to sell to Government by ways of public tenders.
2. Identify and describe competitors to Aspectu.
3. Identify and describe major industrial organizations and educational programs in selected industries and suggest ways of marketing a new SaaS service to their members.
4. Identify and describe any local major trade events in selected industries.
5. Produce text in your local language for marketing Aspectu’s solution in the specific country

To succeed in this position you will need …

• Commercial background: A highly skilled student at 2nd half of bachelor level, currently studying a master level, or recent graduate. Possibly within marketing, International business, Entrepreneurship, or similar
• Interest and strong skills for conducting market research / analyzing a market
• A commercially oriented mindset with the ability to quickly understand problems, analyze the situation and present your solutions or results in an appealing and powerful manner
• Must haves: Fluency (written and spoken) in either languages of German, French, Spanish, Italian, or any official national language of Eastern European countries part of EU28 countries.
• Strong English skills, spoken and written. Danish not necessary.
• Plus, but not a necessity: Experience from / understanding of sales to government from: Construction Industry, Medical Industry, Engineering-/Architecture, cleaning/facility management, IT-sevices, business consulting services, and catering.
• Plus, but not a necessity: Experience with public purchasing/-tendering processes.

Personal skills

• As a person you can work independently and are highly structured and well-organized.
• You have an ability to identify and evaluate sales/marketing opportunities and partnerships in a strategic perspective.
• You are comfortable and possibly experienced with cold-calling externals if necessary.
• You have a positive, can-do attitude where values such as entrepreneurship and innovation is an important part if the DNA.

Employment and Location

We expect employment to begin august/September 2018 and last maximum 2 months (time can be adjusted according to availability). The research can be conducted entirely from home. Weekly staff-meetings will take place at our office in the Greater Copenhagen Area. 

Work hours: A specific number of hours per week are not fixed, as long as the project deliveries are made within maximum 2 months time. On average you should expect 10-15 hours / week.

The internship is unpaid.

Upon successful delivery, you will receive a written recommendation in English.
