The job

You will take responsibility in the daily preparation of reagents and upstream intermediates to make sure that we meet our manufacturing deliverables. You will become part of our young and novel Reagent Development team consisting of 3 highly dedicated biochemists with several cross-functional tasks within process development and manufacturing. Our team is responsible for manufacturing, maintaining and optimizing upstream biochemical processes, handling key elements of our diagnostic devices.

You will work closely with our competent biochemists and process operators in our downstream cartridge manufacturing team to make sure that we always deliver products of high quality. In addition to your daily responsibilities, the position will also include QC work.

Your responsibilities

• Work according to BluSense ISO:13485 quality system.

• Preparation for our upstream biochemical manufacturing and QC processes, including preparation of crucial upstream intermediate products such as buffers, magnetic nanoparticle solutions, controls and calibrants.

• Handling of raw materials including QC and IGC-QC.

• Handling our downstream QC processes, including;

• Batch calibration and QC of our diagnostic test cartridges.

• Functional release QC of final device.

• Assisting routine calibration, registration and maintaining of biochemical manufacturing instruments including troubleshooting.

• Assisting tests of novel biochemistry manufacturing processes.

• Execute laboratory work in Biochemistry and Biological Safety Level 2 laboratories

Your qualifications

You are a highly skilled and dedicated laboratory technician with high quality standards able to handle multiple tasks at the same time while consistently delivering high-quality results. You work independently with a proactive and positive mindset. Furthermore, you are capable of performing your tasks within a specific set of directions and instructions provided by our senior employees.

Qualifications and skills:

• Background as Laboratory technician or similar.

• Work experience within biochemical manufacturing is an advantage but not a requirement.

• Solid experience with standard biotech/biochemical laboratory techniques.

• Fluent in English both verbal and written.

• Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong interest in new technologies

Skills and abilities:

• Ability to organize and conduct your work under the supervision of senior employees

• Aptitude and passion to run repetitive protocols while constantly monitoring important details and assuring high quality and accuracy

• Ability to monitor and trouble-shoot technical issues with custom electronic instruments

• Able to maintain focus in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues

• Positive attitude with the capacity to be a good team player
