THE POSITION

As the Communications Director for DANSIC, you will lead the team that expresses the DANSIC message outward. You will work in tandem across the organisation to follow the progress, document the hardships, and celebrate the triumphs. You will be responsible for the external communication including social media accounts (ie. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), redesigning dansic.org, in an innovative and exciting manner.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

You should be a current or recently graduated student well equipped to communicate across multiple mediums to various audiences. You should have a good eye for detail, and creative flair. You should be ready to lead a small but ambitious team of creatives. Absolutely neccersary is the willingness to socialize with, learn from and engage with others. Moreover, you should have a bit of previous experience in Communications or Marketing, or be interested in working in that field in the future.

 

SPECIFIC TASKS

You will primarily work with:

  • Managing the Communications crew

  • Developing the Communications strategy

  • Making sure the goals for the Communications crew are met

  • Carrying an accurate & positive image of DANSIC to the public

  • Managing SoMe accounts, and dansic.org

  • Creating an end-of-year-publication covering DANSIC20

 

REQUIREMENTS

On average, you will work around 8-10 hours per week, from fall 2019 until early summer 2020, where our Annual General Meeting will be held. The number of hours will be different from week to week. There will be a mandatory weekly meeting with your crew, every Tuesday and monthly events for all of DANSIC's volunteers. The ability to communicate professionally in Danish is complimentary but not a requirement. The position is voluntary.

It is a voluntary non-profit organization run by ambitious Danish and international students which aids and inspires different actors in society, with social innovation methods and interdisciplinary work. We work to solve some of the greatest current societal challenges. Our mission is to create a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. DANSIC is supported by an Advisory Board of leading individuals and organizations in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and receive aid from sponsors and funds. DANSIC holds an annual event where different actors participate, and social innovation and specific societal issues are on the agenda.
