We are looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team at byFounders. This is a full-time position for someone with relevant work experience and a passion for tech startups. The position will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It may include some travel within the Nordic and Baltic region.

As Marketing and Communications Manager, you’ll essentially be in charge of our marketing and communications initiatives, from managing our press, social media and website content, to organizing events and working side by side with our general partners on promotional activities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with companies across our portfolio of startups. You will also support operational activities of the fund.

Job description:

• Clearly define and articulate byFounders brand and key messages
• Manage the content creation for all channels and company social media accounts including Mail, Web, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Medium blog posts.
• Write press releases and build out our international and domestic public relations and maintain a PR calendar for the year.
• Monitor social channels and respond to feedback, questions, and concerns — assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
• Engage our Founders Collective and portfolio companies on relevant marketing activities including blog posts and speaker events.
• Organize marketing events and actively seek other opportunities to broaden our marketing footprint as well as develop our brand
• Maintain an event calendar and actively engage to position byFounders at relevant conferences and events.
• Maintain the relationship with community organizations including #cphftw #Aarsome #sthlmtech #NordicMade #SiliconVikings #entrepreneurship #Katapult and prepare joint activities.
• Responsible for the annual byFounders Summit
• Help prepare monthly updates to our Investors, Founders Collective and portfolio companies.
• Help organize monthly meetups, dinners and other informal events with our Founders Collective, portfolio companies and investors across our geographies (SF, the Nordics and Baltics).
• Provide operational support when required

Qualifications:

• Passionate, Humble, and Helpful
• Smart and Curious: With high energy level and a strong interest in marketing as well as technology markets
• Hungry and Driven: You must be hungry and driven, but also personable and easy to work with.
• A minimum of 2–3 years professional experience in communications, public relations, media or public affairs.
• Relevant experience within marketing and some startup experience would be a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree within communications and/or marketing
• Ability to distill complex challenges/topics into simple and intuitive stories.
• Strong communications skills in Danish and English both written and oral and good organizational skills.
