Marketing Data Analyst

Salary Competitive

We’re looking for a talented and driven Marketing Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team at the Falcon.io HQ in Copenhagen.

As part of the Commercial Operations department, the Business Intelligence team is responsible for the maintenance and development of the analytics infrastructure of the company. We have a modern tech stack based on Amazon Redshift and Looker, which sits at the core of all our activities. We work closely with the Commercial Systems team to make as much data as possible available in our data warehouse, giving us the right foundation for our analyses.

You will work closely with the Marketing team, ensuring success through data-driven decisions. To achieve this you’ll have three core responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Marketing data in our data warehouse is accurate, this means working closely with tooling owners and the Commercial Systems team to make sure the data pipeline is healthy.
  • Identify the core KPIs that drive success and make these accessible to the team to support their day-to-day decision-making. You will do this in close conjunction with Marketing leadership and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Run in-depth analyses across the wealth of data available to uncover and advise on new strategies for growth.

You’ll maintain and develop the core data model in Looker and it is therefore important that you are fluent in SQL. Experience with LookML or a similar declarative modeling language is a plus, but not required. In addition to the core data in Looker, you are encouraged to experiment with other ways of analysing the data, going beyond traditional reporting. Your ultimate goal is to support the success of the Marketing team by turning data into insights.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain the Marketing data model in Looker

  • Work with the Systems team to ensure alignment between tooling and data warehouse

  • Work with team leads and Marketing management to optimise operational efficiency through data

  • Ensure accuracy of our Marketing reports in Looker

  • Identify growth opportunities through analysis of the data

  • Develop a revenue attribution model based on lead activity data

  • Continuously look for ways to operationalise our wealth of available data

You will be a good fit if you have:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong business acumen

  • Excellent SQL skills

  • University degree in a commercial or technical field

  • Proven track record in making data-driven commercial decisions

  • Knowledge of various data warehousing methodologies

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Good social skills, including stakeholder management

You will be a great fit if you also have:

  • Experience from a SaaS company

  • Experience with LookML

  • Experience with modern BI tools e.g. Looker, Periscope Data, Mode Analytics, Tableau

  • Experience working with modern data warehouses e.g. Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake

  • Experience working with Python, R or similar languages

What we offer:

  • First hand experience in how to scale a SaaS business

  • The ability to work with an advanced tech stack and extensive data model in the world of B2B digital marketing

  • A team of driven and high-performing colleagues, both from Commercial Operations and Marketing

  • An open, informal and multinational working environment defined by high levels of personal responsibility

  • An office space housed in the old Danish Design Center, directly opposite Tivoli Gardens in central Copenhagen

  • The Falcon Feed: our in-house canteen providing up to 3x meals per day, including drinks and healthy snacks

Falcon.io provides a unified SaaS platform for social media listening, engaging, publishing and managing customer data; endorsed by partnerships with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp. Founded in Copenhagen a decade ago, we now also have offices in New York City, Berlin, Melbourne, Budapest and Sofia.
