We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer who wants to build beautiful products and solve complex problems. Everyone gets responsibility for their own projects, but we also work closely and everyone does their part in continuously shipping code and following best practices. As a Senior developer you also take technical lead on larger projects and review code from more junior team members. You can also be included in the technical vetting of new team members. You’re a great developer with good people skills who thrives in a fast-moving, agile team.

What you will do

• Develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement code for the GAN Products
• Influence the overall architecture to build super-scalable software
• Develop high-level system design and low level technical design
• Continuously code-review and coach team members
• Follow and implement software development best practices
• Work with QA to ensure test coverage for your features and products
• Work with DevOps team-members to ensure continued stability and performance
• Initiate, implement and develop creative and innovative engineering processes and practices

What we are looking for

• A creative and passionate problem-solver
• Teamplayer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid JavaScript experience – experience with Node.JS preferred (preferably 4+ years experience)
• Overview and understanding of the full-stack of technologies used in a web applications
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge and experience with code versioning tools. We use Git.
• Basic understanding of DevOps, QA and test automation is preferred
• English verbal and written proficiency – with 20+ nationalities, English is our office language
