While the Whispr App runs on IOS/Android, the heart of Whispr is on the web. It is here where an assistant is built, content written, schedules created and progress tracked. And we are seeking a talented Senior Web UI Developer to take charge of those efforts.

Build the builder of smart assistants for worker on who work on their feet

The ideal candidate should be proficient with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript along with React (or Vue), CSS preprocessors, and best practices. You’ll be part of a world-class team that is bringing something powerful and new to workers on their feet. Primary Responsibilities:

• Take the leading role in our web application development. This includes not only writing code, but also helping guide the direction of an application with feature and technology suggestions/discussions.

• Monitors applications for any abnormalities, and look for areas to improve availability and speed of the applications.

• Work closely and understand customer needs and feedback.

• Deliver work under tight timelines while maintaining the highest standard of quality

Required Skills and Experience:

A clever front-end developer with:

• 5-7 years of experience working in a professional team environment

• Strong portfolio showing technical and IU innovation

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

• Proficiency with SASS or other CSS preprocessors

• Strong understanding of prototypal inheritance in JavaScript

• Extensive experience with experience with React (or Vue)

• Experience writing JavaScript from scratch

• Experience with handling and receiving AJAX request data

• Knowledge of best practices in building fluid/responsive layouts

• Experience using Chrome or Safari Dev Tools for inspecting and debugging client-side code

• Strong knowledge of browser compatibility, including mobile web browsers, and their rendering engines

• Demonstrated experience with modern front-end development tools with NodeJS such as Gulp, Yarn, Webpack and/or others

• Familiarity with developing UI components

• Knowledge of server-side technologies and how client-side applications integrate with REST APIs

• Superior communication, organization and time management skills

• Familiarity with Mac OS X including working in the UNIX terminal
