We're looking for a Mobile Developer with a native iOS or Android background to help us bridge the gap to our new React Native app. We're a small SaaS startup helping +200.000 users worldwide do their mileage documentation. You’ll be responsible for the core of our business; location tracking and iBeacon monitoring on iOS and Android. In a way, you will get the role as “backend mobile developer”.

Who are we?

We’re a small SaaS startup based in Matrikel1 (Copenhagen). We help more than 200.000 users world-wide keep a Mileage Logbook. We try to automate and simplify all the trivial work around tracking, classifying and creating the mileage documentation - ready to hand-over to their employer.

The Driversnote platform is based on a Mobile App build in React Native and a Web App & backend build in Ruby on Rails.

We’re very product-focused with a profound focus on continuously listening to and learning from our users, and are always trying to improve the product to create an even better and more seamless experience for our users.

We’re looking to expand our team with 3-6 people over the next year, so you’ll be an essential part of a small team at a very exciting stage.

Who are you?

You take pride in building software that is easy to use and write code that is easy to understand. You like complex challenges and take your time getting to the bottom of all aspects so you can find simple solutions that ensure the future of the codebase.

You’ll be responsible for the core of our business; location tracking and iBeacon/BLE monitoring on Android and/or iOS. In a way, you will get the role as “backend mobile developer”. Our app is built in React Native and uses Open Source native libraries for these most important features. We're however looking for someone with a native iOS/Android background to help us bridge the gap to React Native.

You should have:

• 5+ years experience with mobile development for Android and/or iOS
• A good knowledge of app lifecycles and background processes on both platforms
• Ability to take ownership in the process of building a feature from concept to release, working closely with the rest of the team to ensure a high-quality implementation
• Curiosity towards - and basic knowledge about - React Native 

We would love if you:

• Have experience with Javascript 
• Have experience working with React Native and Redux or React for web
• Have worked with location-based apps and tracking
• Have experience with iBeacons or other Bluetooth devices
• Have tried doing end-to-end testing in React Native
• Have insight into and maybe experience with in-app payments on both platforms

To keep learning, we want to set of time for everyone who works at Driversnote, to take courses and/or read and go to conferences, to stay up-to-date on the newest technologies. We aim to go to at least one conference a year somewhere else in Europe and we give each employee an allowance of 10,000 DKK every year, earmarked for further education.

You get to choose your own setup of computer, mouse, screens etc. (although our tables can fit max 3 screens 😀). Everyone should be working with their favorite tools!

We are located in Matrikel1, a cool new co-working space for in Copenhagen, where you can network and party with other startups and plenty of cool people.
