PHP Developer (Research and Development)

The opportunity

In this role you will be working both independently and alongside the Head of Research and Development, researching new and innovative technology for Cobiro’s products before creating prototypes and the associated documentation to be able to pass over to the development teams for implementation.

A curious and detail-oriented mindset is vital as you will need to keep up to speed with current and future technologies and best practices. In addition to this, the ability to work quickly and effectively in frequently fast-changing situations is crucial.

The ideal candidate for this role has experience working as a PHP Developer with modern PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony or Lumen) and databases (e.g. MySQL), as well as with API’s, who is looking to take an interesting new step in their career.

Responsibilities

Undertaking continuous research and analysis of new trends and techniques to ensure that Cobiro is able to use the latest developments in order to continue to grow

Developing small-scale prototypes and proofs of concept, which may later be scaled-up to full-scale solutions

Creating documentation for these prototypes to provide a seamless handover to the development teams
