Student Assistant - Usability and Design

Unique opportunity to be part of an award-winning international startup. MedTrace A/S is looking for a student assistant who can join us in our usability and design work. We are a young life science startup working to improve the diagnostic precision of PET procedures at hospitals. We aim to be “best in class” among startups globally for professionalism, execution and customer understanding. Our main office is based at Scion DTU in Lyngby.


Your main responsibilities will be to support our Usability Engineer’s tasks regarding testing, documentation and development. In addition you will be given your own responsibility areas. The job is part-time (15-20 hours per week, with volunteer option for full-time in holiday periods) and the job content will vary from week to week.  

 

Your tasks will involve:  

  • Development of usability test materials, test execution and test results analysis and documentation.
  • Assisting in the work with our ‘Usability engineering process’ following ISO standard 62366-1
  • Tasks within development:
    • Updating requirement specifications in our quality management system D4
    • Developing the device’s graphical and physical user interfaces
    • Documentation of the development process and outputs
  • Ad hoc graphical material preparation and administrative tasks
  • Project coordination  

 

Qualifications

For this position, MedTrace is currently seeking some one who:

 

  • Is a self-driven and enthusiastic team player
  • Has a good understanding of ´Design Thinking´methodology
  • Is methodical, and pays attention to details
  • Is fluent in English, oral and written – international students are welcome
  • Is a natural listener

 

 

Furthermore it is preferable if you:

 

  • Have had some previous work experience
  • Have had experience with user interaction
  • Have experience with 3D CAD modelling and prototyping, e.g. 3d printing
  • Posses general mechanical flair
  • Have experience creating digital graphics
