TechBBQ is the largest and oldest tech entrepreneurship event with almost 6 years under the belt, going from a beta conference at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in 2013 to 4000 guests at Øksnehallen in 2017.

We aim to further tech entrepreneurship and innovation in Denmark as well as get Denmark and the Nordics on the map as an important European innovationshub. We are the annual event where everyone from the environment meet, celebrate the successes, learn from the failures, nurse established network and make new ones. Every strong entrepreneurial hub has its flagship event - and TechBBQ is ours.

 

As TechBBQ’s new Marketing Manager, you will become part of the management team working closely together with our Head of PR, Growth Hacker and lead a team of volunteers focusing on various marketing efforts and development of our social media channels to further the promotion of the event.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop and maintain a marketing strategy
  • Liaise with Business Developers, Growth Hacker event team and press team in regards to campaigns, sponsor agreements and communications efforts
  • Oversee all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, youtube) and make plans for posts leading up to the event
  • Lead your own team of marketing volunteers
  • Help develop graphical expressions up to and at the event
  • Lead our marketing efforts during the event and up to 3 months after
  • Maintain mailing lists and newsletter

 

We’re looking for someone who...

  • has experience within marketing (essential)
  • can write both formal and informal (essential)
  • has experience with graphical work (inDesign, etc. - desired)
  • has great ideas to promote a tech event nationally and internationally
  • can keep the overview while focusing on smaller details
  • experience with people management
  • can keep their cool in a hectic environment

This is a volunteer position (min. 20 hrs/w) with primary work hours Monday to Friday 9-17 at our office in Copenhagen. The closer we get to the event, the more hours you are required to put in and also working at least the weekend up to the event.
