Forecast is looking for a UX Designer. You are someone who is well-versed in human-centered design principles, takes ownership of product ideas and turns them into functional and user-friendly interfaces. You’re able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations. You are responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and translating them into sitemaps; user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

The UX Designer is expected to design the overall functionality of the product and ensures a great user experience and iterates upon it in accordance with user-testing. Being part of a fast-moving startup can be challenging, and you must be comfortable with working in an ever-changing environment. You’ll be involved in every step of the process from strategic concept design to hands-on development of all aspects of Forecast products.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prototyping digital products and experiences in different fidelities and for different purposes.
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
• Working directly with our Product Owner, Designers, and Engineers.
• Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Qualifications:

• 1-2+ years of successful experience with UX.
• Design background desirable, but experience with interactive and web design required.
• You have a natural eye for minimal design and good composition. Ideally, you obsess about details, and delighting users.
• You're passionate about the quality of work you produce, and you're self-motivated to spot ways to improve it.
• Understanding of human-centered design, responsiveness, and design systems.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills — you should be able to articulate your design decisions clearly.
• Strong knowledge of usability principles and resolving user pain points.
• Passion for all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
• Knowledge of CSS/HTML/Javascript is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
