Passionate about events, the newest technologies and the start-up environment? Do you love the crazy, hectic and creative processes that goes into making a good event great? Then you might just be what TechBBQ’s looking for! We are gearing up for TechBBQ 2017 in September and looking for great Event Hosts!

You'll be an integral part of the event and will report to the event team.

It is a volunteer position and the hours spent will mainly be up to and during the event 4th-6th September (full days) except from a workshop held prior to the event.

As an Event Host you will actively help make TechBBQ 2017 a success.

Your tasks will include:

One of the most important things that make TechBBQ a success is happy and satisfied exhibitors during the event days. The showcasing area, where all exhibitors will show their newest inventions, will be divided into smaller areas to unite all participants within the specific technology fields. The small areas, named “corners”, have to be managed by an Event Host and will include:

• Guide exhibitors to their booths (particularly on 4th September)
• Answer all the questions they might have and be at their service
• Keep potential disasters from happening and escalate to the event team if you can't solve it
• Attend a workshop at TechBBQ’s office in Copenhagen on 22th August
• Ad hoc tasks

Who you are:

• Previous event experience desired, but not essential
• Hardworker and can-do-attitude
• Work well under high pressure
• Self-starter
• Can work with a minimum of instruction
• Good organisation skills
• Multi-tasker
• People skills and can as easily talk to corporate representatives as startups
• Structured, but still understand the fast paced and rapidly changing nature of large scale events
• Fluent in English, essential
• Fluent in Danish, desired, but not essential

On the event days, you are expected to be present all day. You will be on your feet for several hours, running around and putting out proverbial fires.
