About the Role:

Menopause, a significant milestone occurring typically between the ages of 45 and 55, signifies the end of a woman's reproductive years. As women spend over a third of their lives in peri- or post-menopause, it's anticipated that by 2030, approximately 1.2 billion women globally will enter these life stages.

During the perimenopause and menopause transition, between 75% to 85% of women experience a range of physical and emotional symptoms, varying from mild to severe. These symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and changes in libido. Notably, approximately 20-30% of women encounter severe symptoms.


However, menopause presents numerous challenges:

  • Insufficient education and awareness often result in delayed or absent symptom treatment and a diminished quality of life.

  • The stigma and taboo surrounding menopause contribute to feelings of embarrassment, isolation, and mental health issues.

  • Controversies and confusion regarding suitable treatments, particularly concerning the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy, add further complexity.

Job requirements

We're seeking a Commercial Entrepreneur in Residence (Co-Founder) to join us in this transformative journey. You will play a pivotal role in reshaping the Menopause landscape across the Nordics, and essentially, the entire European market. The role entails the below responsibilities, but as in every entrepreneurial journey, other tasks may arise throughout the building process:

  • Define and execute the strategy and operations of the business towards profitable, sustainable growth.

  • Validate value proposition/ product-market fit and identify target customer segments

  • Convert the project concept into a feasible business model.

  • Develop the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

  • Design and implement the go-to-market strategy.

  • Lead and motivate a high-potential team to achieve set objectives.


Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of professional work experience.

  • Proven experience in building and leading teams from scratch.

  • Previous experience as an entrepreneur (successful or failed), operator in a high-growth start-up/scale-up or management consultant with entrepreneurial/operational experience

  • Strong preference for candidates with a passion and experience in Menopause/Endocrinology/ Healthcare.

  • Proficiency in English is essential, and fluency in Danish is a distinct advantage.

  • While not a must, candidates with experience in product development will be given preference.


About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a demonstrated passion for and understanding of menopause.

  • Experience in operating within high-growth startups or scale-ups is advantageous.

  • Prior experience as a founder or co-founder or product/science lead of digital or digital health companies is desirable and advantageous.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for women's health and wellness.

  • Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or related industries preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others

  • Knowledge of menopause and women's health issues is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Practical Information:

As an Entrepreneur in Residence at KRING, you will be an integral part of our venture-building team, accelerating our venture's growth trajectory. Upon successfully validating the Menopause project, you will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time Co-Founder role, with a competitive startup salary and equity package, driving the strategic direction of the new venture.

  • Timeline: Ongoing interviews with a final application deadline of April 15th. The start date is flexible based on finding the right candidate.

  • Location: We are open to working with talent worldwide, but founders must be willing to be in Copenhagen for at least a five-month validation and MVP building phase. Our office is located at Ragnagade 7, 2100 Copenhagen
