This is a pre-seed stage AI Fintech startup. We are looking for an intern UI/UX Designer for our applications.

Factorise is creating an Investment Ecosystem with multiple products. We're on a mission to democratize investment knowledge and action through our ecosystem, consisting of an AI-powered chatbot, a comprehensive learning platform, and an interactive community for investors. Our goal is to simplify the stock market, making it accessible and engaging. We democratize access to investment knowledge and tools, making it easier for more people to navigate the stock market confidently.

The Position

At Factorise you get the chance to go beyond talking, studying, reading and theorizing about AI – you get to build AI applications. You will no longer be a passive recipient merely consuming content. You will be part of a team and company having an actual impact on the world. The AI technology you build will make a difference for the user. Furthermore you get the advantage to get in early in an AI startup. This means opportunity for you – if you are excellent at the job.

UX and UI are two distinct domains though overlapping. UI = the visual elements of a product or a website. Elements are e.g. layout, color scheme, typography, and product aesthetics. UX = the way users interact with a product or website. Elements e.g. navigation, usability, and overall functionality. Both are needed for creating a successful product. A well-designed UI can make a product more visually appealing, while a well-designed UX can make it more user-friendly and easy to use. You of course know this. We are trying to find a person who spans both fields, but consider applying as as well if you are mostly familiar witin one of the domains.

We're in search of a UX/UI Designer with a talent for creating captivating and intuitive designs. You will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our digital products, from conceptualizing the initial design to refining user interfaces for optimal usability and visual appeal.

You will work on the visual side and user experience. Youl will start with UX research, build wireframes, UX flow, prototypes, develop visual elements, and make sure that the design is consistent with the product brand while being human-centered at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Design UI elements and tools for our chatbot/AI product, learning platform, and community that are visually appealing and user-friendly.

• Utilize storyboarding and user journey maps to illustrate the flow and experience of our digital products.

• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.

• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure the accurate implementation of UI designs.

• Work closely with CEO and CTO on customer centricity for products

• Stay updated on UX/UI trends and best practices, applying them to our platforms to enhance user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in UX/UI design and proficiency with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).

• Experience in or passion to learn about creating storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.

• Ability to design with a user-centered approach and to implement inclusive and accessible design principles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with both development and product management teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, UX/UI, or a related field or demonstrated self-taught ability.

You can be a student, more experienced and in between projects, and/or wanting in on an exciting opportunity, while you are working your regular job. 

It’s crucial that you have the mindset of a problem solver and are excited about creating products in a startup setting. You need to be able to work remote and independently between team collaborations.

The team have distinct results, experience and achievements in AI, Cloud, Learning and Software Development. This includes technology leadership, learning, knowledge production, education, user centricity and visionary leadership. This includes funding track-record and project management.

The job is unpaid and without equity for now, but when we get funded, you will have a chance to apply and negotiate for a paid position. You will need to sign an NDA. 

We will make the contract for 3-6 months with a 14-day trial period. Hours a week will depend upon individual agreement, but there will be a lower limit, for you to be able to deliver the results needed.
