About Agreena
Agreena is an exciting, dynamic, and purpose-oriented organisation united in a mission to mobilise farmers and corporations to unlock the value of nature and help restore the planet. While we’re rooted in agriculture, finance, and technology, our team of experts range from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory affairs experts. Over 230 employees across more than 40 nationalities are gathered under the common Agreena flag – either working from our headquarters in Copenhagen, offices in London, or remotely across Europe.

As a rapidly scaling climate agtech, Agreena provides solutions that drive both environmental and financial sustainability in farming. We have helped farmers across 18 countries in their conversion journey from conventional agriculture to regenerative farming practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and remove CO2 from the atmosphere, storing it in soil. Our company offers a supportive and positive work environment with opportunities for learning, leading and growth no matter where you are in your professional journey. We believe in giving our employees a lot of responsibility, and we encourage new thinking, innovation and fun.

As a Transaction Manager at Agreena, your role is crucial in negotiating, structuring, and executing partnership agreements. You'll be responsible for overseeing every aspect of these agreements, from managing contract obligations to conducting financial analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering relationships with partner organisations, aligning their goals with Agreena's objectives, and ultimately delivering mutual value. Drawing on your skills in driving successful partnerships, you'll play a key role in expanding Agreena's reach and impact in the agritech sector.

This role will report directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships and ideally you will be comfortable making the journey to our London or Copenhagen office at least 2 days per week to spend time in one of our main offices. There will also be regular travel to other offices, alongside regular trips elsewhere.

Your responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and Structure Partnership Agreements: Lead negotiations with partner organisations, ensuring agreements are structured to meet both parties' needs while aligning with Agreena's objectives and strategic direction.
  • Execute Partnership Agreements: Oversee the implementation of partnership agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and deadlines are met, while proactively addressing any issues that may arise during execution.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate the potential impact of partnership agreements, including assessing financial risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations to optimise financial outcomes for Agreena.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all partnership agreements adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, staying abreast of regulatory changes and proactively implementing compliance measures as needed.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with partner organisations, serving as the main point of contact and fostering collaboration to achieve mutual goals and maximise value for both parties.
  • Expansion and Impact: Utilise your expertise in driving successful partnerships to contribute to Agreena's growth and impact in the agritech sector, identifying opportunities for expansion and implementing strategies to broaden Agreena's reach and influence.

Who we’re looking for:
  • Several years experience specialising in structuring and negotiating complex agreements within corporate and business development, preferably in the environmental or sustainability sector including IP licences, distribution, and marketing partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis and evaluate partnership opportunities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with a track record of successfully closing deals with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to voluntary carbon markets is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

What’s in it for you:
  • A unique opportunity to join and help shape a fast-growing tech scale up with the determination and ambitious mission to reverse climate change;
  • A truly global environment where you can collaborate and socialise with diverse and passionate colleagues;
  • Competitive compensation package and holidays;
  • Centrally located modern office in Copenhagen or London, and the option to work from home a couple days a week / Remote Work Policy;
  • Team events throughout the year;
  • An exciting purpose-led culture and mission;
  • Open communication and supportive feedback culture.
