Do you want to become part of a growing developer team that builds a design-award winning product used by almost 2 million users in 5 countries? GoMore is looking for a developer who can help us on the front-end.

The ideal candidate is a strong programmer, experienced with Javascript on the frontend side. It is a plus if the candidate also has Rails or Clojure experience on the backend.

On the front-end we currently use Backbone.js and CoffeeScript, but since we’re looking to switch to a more modern JS framework, the ideal candidate is also familiar with Vue, React or a similar framework.

The CSS part of our frontend is a mixture of functional CSS and BEM-style components organised into an ITCSS architecture. However, experience with other approaches like SMACSS and Atomic CSS is equally valued. The candidate will play an important role in helping shape the future foundation of the GoMore frontend.

We are interested both in candidates that are senior developers with a proven track record, but also less experienced developers with talent and initiative. Our culture is one where developers help each other grow professionally, but also have a sense of ownership of their specific domain.

Requirements

• A disciplined approach to development, testing and code structure
• You’ve been writing web applications for a while and can point to things you’re proud of
• You write understandable code and avoid building “technical debt”
• When things break you’re eager and able to help fix them
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you

Great-to-have

• Experience as a GoMore user and interest in improving our ridesharing, rental, and leasing concepts
• Experience with Rails, Clojure or AWS
• Prior experience with or knowledge of large-scale, high-volume systems
• Experience in small start-up environments
• Academic background in computer science
• Experience working with remote teams
