M-PAYG is a Danish company that develops solar housing solutions for households in developing countries. Many low-income families are forced to opt for polluting sources for lighting and phone charging. M-PAYG's innovations enable low-income households, currently unable to finance clean energy, access to solar with small-scale mobile payments through pay-as-you-go enabled technology. We are looking for a Fundraiser to successfully lead and execute M-PAYG’s fundraising strategy and reporting.

The perfect candidate is an excellent communicator and coordinator who is fluent in both verbal and written English, with solid experience and interest in budgeting and financial reporting. 

You will be in charge of the strategic development of soft money fundraising to support M-PAYG’s scaling and operations, while simultaneously writing grant applications of various extends. You will spend around 80% of the work time executing applications and therefore be working very independently, although also expected to be a team player.

Your tasks

• Assist with the development of M-PAYG’s fundraising strategy
• Prioritise, coordinate and execute grant applications
• Develop grant budgets and financial plans
• Assist in financial ad hoc tasks
• Assist with implementation and reporting on existing projects

Your competences

• Excellent written communication skills, in long coherent texts and with stakeholders
• Flair for and previous experience with budgeting and financial planning
• Strong coordination skills across applications, partners, team members, and deadlines
• Solid analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• Good negotiation skills and high perseverance
• Fluency in English - if you are a native English speaker it is a plus

Your previous achievements

• Excellent academic achievements from a leading university or business school, preferably within fundraising, business administration, communication, or international development
• Challenging internships or initial professional experience with budgets, text writing, and project management. Preferably within fundraising
• Demonstrated experience and success with various types of funds and grant applications

M-PAYG consists of a small and dedicated team. We are a flat organisation with a dynamic work environment. You will become an important part of the team and your opinion will have a high influence on the direction of the company. You will be given a high level of responsibility. 

The position is an unpaid full time internship of 2 months with possibility for extension. 

You will work from our global HQ on Titangade 11, Nørrebro in the new SingularityU Nordic - a Hub for some of the leading tech companies in Denmark.
