Graphic Design & Photography Intern

Salary Competitive

GRIM is a start-up working to fight food waste. We do this in two ways: through our B2C GRIM subscription box containing ugly-by-nature organic and surplus fruit and vegetables. We sell our wonky produce also to B2B to food businesses. We've shipped our first box in July 2018 and have so far saved 40 tons of food. We are growing fast and are now looking to hire a full time content & influencer marketing intern. Could it be you?

Are you an all-round designer who wants to actively shape the identity of one of Denmark's coolest start-ups? Read on!

GRIM is hire a part-time design intern who has broad knowledge of both Graphic design and photography. You will participate in all phases of the design process, from research and analysis to ideation and implementation. By doing so, your work will be guided by our strong visual identity and brand guidelines, which you will further develop (for inspiration, check out our Instagram @eatgrim). Your tasks focus include both weekly and planned tasks with a strong focus on content creation for SoMe, campaigns and website, so it is important that you can handle a deadline and are available at certain days. Other tasks are more fluent, and you can contribute with your good ideas and inputs.

As main tasks, you will:

- Design, print and cut our weekly leaflets (Mondays)

- Produce graphic content, such as pictures (photography), graphics and infographics for SoMe and website (Wednesdays)

- Work on ad hoc graphic design tasks, e.g. creating moving visual such as GIF’s and edit videos

- Further develop our brand identity and design guidelines

- Help in the process of setting up campaigns for social media

The job is for you if ...

- You are free on Mondays and Wednesdays. This is a requirement, as on Mondays, our printed communication is being produced and on Wednesdays, we shoot our GRIM veggies

- You master the Adobe package (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)

- You are savvy in photography and (preferably) own a nice camera yourself that you don't mind using during work

- You understands printing - solution, settings, colours etc.

- You can work independently and make own decisions based on our design guidelines

- You are available for at least 2 months

We speak English at the office, but knowledge of Danish is welcomed :) We are a small team of different nationalities that all work closely together during our daily tasks. Team GRIM is located in a new food hub in Copenhagen Nordvest, which is shared with other food start ups. We value personality and a strong portfolio. Please note that this is an unpaid internship position.

Apply with your CV, your portfolio and motivational letter via The Hub.

As an extra, we ask you to illustrate the following sentence into an image (graphic or photo, or both): "Life is like a box of GRIM, you never know what you get" > send your image to jobs@eatgrim.dk, subject "Graphic & Photography intern"

Working at
Eat Grim

Eat Grim is a platform for ugly and surplus fruits and vegetables. We are fighting one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues: about 1/3 of fruits and vegetables produced are lost for aesthetic reasons or because they are overproduced - while we are worried that we can’t feed the growing populations of the world. So in 2018, we created Eat Grim. We source the ugly and surplus produce directly from farms and bring it to the market in two ways: through a food box subscription to private consumers, making it easy for consumers to eat more sustainably. We also supply Grim produce to food businesses that want to make their sourcing more sustainable and transparent.
