Junior Developer (RoR, Angular)

Salary DKK 24,000 - DKK 24,000

GenieBelt is redefining planning, collaboration and communication in the construction industry worldwide, working out of Copenhagen, Poland and England. We help customers in 38+ countries to run their construction projects better. To keep this growth going, we need to continue to make our product more useful to the construction industry. That’s where you come in.

As a Junior Developer, you will quickly get involved in developing new features and fixing bugs, on any aspect of the product you’re passionate about, whether server-side or front-end.

You’ll receive honest feedback and challenging work to help you grow and develop. We’ll encourage you to take on as much responsibility as you can handle, and within a year you will be a skilled Angular and Rails developer, and maybe have gotten involved with our iOS and Android clients too.

Requirements:

  • You have a CS degree or equivalent, with good knowledge of OOP and design patterns. Knowledge of functional programming is a plus.
  • You either already know RoR and Angular, or can pick them up quickly.
  • You’re able to freely give and seek feedback.
  • You are comfortable with managing yourself and prefer to deliver without needing to be supervised closely.

Benefits:

GenieBelt offers 25 days of paid holiday a year and flexible hours around core hours of 9:30 to 3:30. We offer catered lunches every single day where everyone eats together. Our sociable, spacious, central office in Copenhagen is a relaxed, fun space with a football table, fish nets hanging from the ceiling, tea and coffee, daily fruit, occasional cakes on Wednesdays and definitely free beer on Fridays. There’s also occasional travel to Poland to meet and work with our Polish team.

We believe teams are stronger when they are diverse. We strive to be inclusive and transparent in our recruitment and in the way we approach our work, and we avoid office politics and gossip.

Working at
LetsBuild

LetsBuild, the future of construction... Construction is one of the biggest sectors in the world in terms of value, but maybe even bigger in terms of its impact on our lives. We live and work in buildings, we travel to work or on holiday using infrastructure, we are surrounded by the output of this industry. But construction is also in trouble, haunted by cost and time overruns and poor quality; challenges that can be addressed today with modern technologies based on mobile and cloud, together with a better understanding of the benefits of data insight and decision making. Someone needs to bring a new and innovative solution to construction, to connect workers on site with people at the office and to all machines and sensors to create one big operating system that runs smoothly and transparently. That “someone” is LetsBuild. The founders and partners of LetsBuild are passionate about helping construction to become better, cleaner and more efficient. We want to build a great company, to help construction to digitalise and become Connected Construction. We hope you will join us as colleague, user, customer or maybe as a partner. We are LetsBuild.
