Orangebooks is hiring a System Architect who will:

-ensure current and future performance and scalability of our solution

make sure that all planned and in-place system architectures are aligned with our goals

-provide expertise and architectural assistance to other team members.

conduct research on new technologies in the field of systems development and create and develop

-plans for investing in such systems that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility

Our vision

Accounting is an essential business activity that enables financial overview and compliance. Businesses need up-to-date data and correct reporting to authorities - with minimum investment of time and money. Unfortunately, accounting is complex, slow and expensive today. Most SMEs must hire external bookkeepers who manually process transactions one by one. Reporting to authorities is largely manual as well. This highly inefficient system is costing our economy billions every year.

Orangebooks uses Machine Learning to automate bookkeeping. For example, when a purchase is made, all the user needs to do is send in a photo of the receipt. Our algorithms will match the receipt to the bank transaction and assign the correct category from the general ledger. Orangebooks reports and pays VAT and TAX on behalf of the business, prepares and files the Yearly Report. The current status of the accounting and cash flow always be checked in our easy to use online dashboard.

Who are we?

We are a young startup (3 months old) but already gaining credibility on Copenhagen’s Fintech scene. Ask Danske Bank & Tech Stars who gave us awards on the first day of our existence this past June, or Digital Hub Denmark who chose us to represent Denmark at Websummit in Lisbon in November. We are a part of Copenhagen Fintech Lab and Accelerace.

About you

• First and foremost: you are a nice person and you are proud of your craft!

• Background in Computer Science or self-taught. It is ok if you are a student - all we care about is you know your stuff.

• Deep understanding of modern software engineering trends such as Microservices, DevOps, Cloud Services, Serverless, Cloud Native technologies, Continuous Deployment, etc.

• Excellent “hands-on” programming skills

• Ability to clearly articulate the benefits/weakness of specific software architecture approaches

• Strong, collaborative approach with the ability to inspire others and let yourself be inspired!

You should know or be ready to learn about:

• Microservices architecture

• AWS

• PSD2 APIs

• DK open data APIs (CVR)

• ML

• rule based algorithms

Bonus points if you know

• XBRL & related standards for structured business data
