SoMe Marketing and Brand Development Intern

Who are we? Lokalist is an early-stage startup that has recently launched in Copenhagen. Our mission is to use innovations in machine learning and data science to help people determine the market price for used goods locally. We believe if people understood the value of things they own they would be more likely to reuse, recycle, and reintroduce their items into the secondhand market.

What do we need?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and excited at the opportunity to help a startup go from 0 to 1 Million. Tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop are a natural part of your workflow, and you enjoy working together with a diverse and passionate team. Working in a startup environment can be stressful and to be honest a lot of hard work for little to no compensation. The upside is that you will be on the ground level of something that has the potential to be huge. We are looking for people who believe in what we are trying to do and want to be able to see their impact on the vision and growth of the project developing themselves together with the company.

  • You must be an independent worker that is able to deliver content that follows the brand identity.
  • You should have an interest in developing content for social media channels.
  • You have experience growing SoMe followers organically.
  • You wish that you had the opportunity to implement your own strategies for growth and marketing.
  • Bonus if have any previous startup or professional design experience.
  • Minimum ability to dedicate 10 hours a week to the project.

What can we give you?

One of the most important questions we feel most companies forget to ask is what can we do for you. We are asking you to share with us talents that you have built up over many years to make our lives easier and our brand stronger. For each person this answer is different but it is our personal mission as a small startup to provide value to every team member in a way that is unique to them. If you can provide us what we need and we can provide you what you need then we are sure to be a good match professionally.

Our interview is about team fit

In a startup even more important than your skillsets is the team fit. That being said the interview is an informal introduction to our team and the project. We grab a coffee or a beer (your choice), then we talk a bit about the idea and listen to your thoughts about it. We will ask you if you have any previous work to show off, and then discuss a bit about what we can do for you. Finally, we will promise to give you a decision within 48 hours.

If what we are doing sounds interesting to you and you have any questions, please give us a call at +45 9111 3247 or send an email to and be sure to apply via The Hub! I look forward to meeting with you soon :)

Working at

It takes hundreds of man-hours in harsh working conditions, to mine the rare earth minerals it takes to create a phone. On top of that, the transportation and refinement of the raw materials into nearly 1.5 Billion new devices each year releases thousands of tonnes of C02 into the atmosphere each year. In Denmark, the average phone only gets used for 25% of its functional lifespan before being upgraded, and there are two to 5 smartphones sitting in a drawer somewhere. At Lokalist we think this is a solvable problem. Lokalist makes it simple to know what to do with your old smartphone when you upgrade to a new one, by comparing all the different options to sell, trade-in, or donate your old phone in the hopes that we can help reduce the number of phones being produced, by using the ones we have already made more efficiently, and properly recycling those that are no longer functional.
