Evaxion’s in silico vaccine discovery platforms are growing fast and we need a DevOps / System Administrator to design, build and scale our IT environment. Evaxion is a Copenhagen-based startup discovering and developing ‘best in class’ vaccines for infectious diseases and cancer using cutting edge immunology, bioinformatics and machine learning methods. We seek a highly motivated and ambitious DevOps engineer or system administrator to support our research in the next generation of vaccines.

You will play a vital role in designing, shaping and developing our systems from scratch and support our bioinformatics team in improving our leading platforms and technology. On any given day, you could be improving the stability of our systems, installing new hardware, developing solutions to new problems, designing new information infrastructures, automating processes, assisting other employees facing trivial IT problems, maintaining system operations and writing technical documentations for bioinformatics platforms.

The responsibilities

• To participate in IT projects from idea to implementation
• Design, build and scale our Linux IT infrastructure
• To develop small scripts or large platforms in Python
• To deploy platforms as highly responsive web services
• To carry out security implementations
• To create technical documentation

Your profile

The successful candidate has the following qualifications and skills:

• Has obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or Engineering
• Is a passionate, proactive and motivated team-player
• Has strong experience developing easy-to-read code in Python
• Has experience with Linux operating systems and Bash
• Has a structured and analytical mindset
• Has fluent written and oral communication skills in English
• Having experience developing in Perl is an advantage (not required)
• Having experience with virtual environments is an advantage (not required)
• Having experience with information security is an advantage (not required)
