LuxC is developing a new type of Augmented Reality solution for Police and Ambulance services. Our product is a new type of full-windshield Head Up Display that merges mission critical information with Night Vision in an Augmented Reality (AR) interface. This is the first time ever that such a product has been envisioned, which means that nothing exists at this moment that is comparable. More importantly, the User Experience and the User Interface has never been made before.

We are looking for someone to help us continue development of our User Interface that is centered around the Human being. As Augmented Reality allows for a new dimension in data representation, we want to build a product that breaks away from the “square and monitor centric” design to a more fluid and Human centric design, adapted to the vision and field of view of human beings.

We are offering the possibility to perform graduation work at LuxC and help us improve our product using Design Thinking and close user cooperation to do continuous improvement to our User Interface.

Our team consist of young entrepreneurial and enthusiastic people, who have a good knowledge of their fields. We work Agile, meaning that we have strong team communication, with morning standup meetings and regular sprint meetings. This allows the team to help each other and to benefit from the knowledge of the whole team. It also makes it fun to work in our team.

Task description

- Build a model for ergonomically efficient Augmented Reality interface, optimized to the Field of View of the driver

- Understand and classify the different data types to be displayed

- Define regions in the User Interface for the different classes of data

- Understand how Night Vision should best be implemented

- Understand the effect of data latency on the User Experience

- Build concept of User Interfaces for LuxC Augmented Reality product

- Investigate the effects of the developed User Interface on Road Safety

Time

The project is expected to follow the development of the LuxC product and span as long as required by the curriculum of the candidate.

Location

LuxC is located at the Startup incubator FutureBox in Lyngby, Denmark. You are expected to work on site to have the best interaction with the full team.
