The AI and communication-startup JumpStory is looking for a WordPress Developer to join our Web Technology team. The position can be either freelance or part-time to begin with. We're based in Aarhus and Aalborg, but you'll be able to work from home too. You will be part of an energitic and value-driven startup with a vision to make digital communication better - thus creating better understanding between people everywhere. You will be reporting directly to the CEO of the company.

Reporting directly to the CEO within JumpStory, this position will be responsible for WordPress development across our platform jumpstory.dk (and our internationale site).

The WordPress Developer will be responsible for primarily back-end including creating plugins and implementing best practices. This position requires a combination of programming skills using WordPress supporting capabilities such as PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and others. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. An understanding and appreciation of best practices for performance and scaling.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop WordPress plugins and/or themes
• Leverage WordPress APIs and extend the WordPress admin experience
• Solve complex problems in simple ways
• Juggle current projects with incoming tasks
• Test solutions across multiple browsers and platforms in a local testing environment
• Deploy changes to live servers.
